Cygnet
Cygnet is a popular country town well known for its creative community and beautiful scenic location in the sheltered Port Cygnet Bay. Cygnet is popular among artists, musicians and those looking for an alternative lifestyle. It offers several craft shops, art studios and galleries and a wide range of cafes like; The Red Velvet Lounge and the Port Hole Cafe- great spots to gather around for a coffee and beautiful lunch. Life music on Friday evenings with wood fired pizza's at the Red Velvet Lounge. Cygnet also has a great bakery, two super markets, vegetable larder and butcher for all your shopping and we have pubs for an easy meal. The Port Cannery (temporarily closed ) and Old Bank have a special mention on our Activities page. On the 1st and 3rd Sunday there is a lovely farmers market from 10.00 till 14.00 Burton’s Reserve on the water at the southern end of Cygnet is a great spot for a walk, picnic or visit to the playground. There are some great secluded beaches close by on Cygnet Coast Road and towards Randalls Bay. Also quite a few fishing spots, all your fishing gear is provided in the accommodation. Cygnet is home to the Gourmet Farmer, Matthew Evans and his partner Sadie Chrestman. We are waiting to hear what their next adventure is as in work shops etc. the word is still out on that. but we will keep you posted.
