Feed the animals

Get up close and personal with our friendly farm animals.
Experience the joys of the farm life by visiting our farm and feeding our animals! We have a variety of animals who happily eat right from your hand, even our big cows appreciate some juicy apples. It's a wonderful experience for everyone, young and old, to get to know our animals up close and personal. On the day of your arrival, we offer a tour of our farm in the late afternoon. The following day, you can do a self-guided animal feed, supplied with buckets of food. A memorable and unique experience is waiting!. We encourage our guest to spend time with our friendly goats during the day whom love the attention given.

Pick your own fruit and vegies


Depending on the season we encourage our guests to pick apples, black berries etc , dig potatoes, gather eggs.

Camp fire

Share stories around a camp fire.
Spend the evening outdoors around the campfire with friends, tell stories, roast marshmallows, and take in the beauty of the night sky - there's nothing better!. You might even catch a glimps of the Southern lights

Old Bank conservatory

For a delicious breakfast or lunch
The Old Bank Conservatory is in the main street of Cygnet, they are serving a delicious range of meals made from locally grown produce from the Huon Valley.

During the winter months from May until August, you are invited to join us on a wildlife tour of our property. With the abundance of possums, bandicoots, padimelons, and quoll that reside in our orchard after dark, you are sure to get an up-close and amazing experience with nature. Explore our unique habitat and get an unparalleled look at the flora and fauna living on our grounds. Come find something unique about yourself while you take in the beauty of the wild life that roam these parts.$50 per family

wood Creations

At our farm, you can find a selection of stunningly handcrafted bowls, honey dippers, and coffee scoops made of a variety of wood types. Our orchard has a beautiful selection of apple wood, while the driftwood is locally sourced during our carefully planned coastal walks. If you require more assistance, our trusted craftsman, Matthew, has his work shop open and is always happy to demonstrate his incredible designs..

Furniture workshop

Castle Workshop is a furniture-making workshop and exhibition space in Nicholls Rivulet, Tasmania, owned and run by James Vaughan. The building was designed and hand-built by James between 2010 and 2020, while working as a furniture design teacher in a Quaker school in Hobart. There are some fantastic wineries in the Huon Valley. A few of the stand outs are Kate Hill Wines at Huonville, Home Hill winery at Ranelagh, Hartzview Vinyard at Gardens Bay

Port Cygnet Gin tastings

a fantastic small gin distillery just up the road from our farm
Private tastings with the distiller are by appointment only to fit in with production schedules. They are held at your Huon Valley accommodation (other locations may be possible upon request), usually late afternoon and last about 1 hour. A fee of $25 per participant is payable to secure the tasting. To request a tasting email tastings@cygnetdistillery.com.au with the preferred date, time, place, and number of people.

Spoon carving workshops

Warning- Spoon Carving is Addictive!! Welcome to a creative day of mindfulness. Spend the day with us in our small studio in Cygnet, Tasmania learning to make a wooden spoon from scratch. The workshop runs from 10- 3pm, with a maximum of four people per workshop. Dates and times of workshops will be negotiated, see website above for details.
